CAVING

The entire Kuhnel Family enjoys caving.   While it is not everyone's favorite thing to do, and some people are claustrophobic, the exploration of caves is a fascinating experience.  Sometimes more like mountain climbing underground, it can involve the use of ropes, descending and ascending gear, and of course is highly dependent on good lighting.  It is always a thrill to go where few (or even possibly no one) has gone before.  Below are two images of my son, and grandchildren in two caves in Lava Beds National Monument.
